Whilst recently recording in DC, I was privileged enough to attend some KaizenTao classes. I was blown away. Thong is quite simply one the most interesting and brilliant people I’ve ever met. It was an inspiration to be in the presence of someone so clearly in love with his art form, and so passionately committed to executing it with brilliance. Although Thong personally rejects the term “Master” in regards to himself, one cant help but observe that he is a true, great master of the Martial Arts, and that it’s a privilege to be learning from him.
Whilst in class I felt myself, and fellow students, giving a 110% to each lesson, such is the feeling Thong inspires in his students. I found his commitment, his concern for the safety of his students and his open, friendly and generous teaching style, a humbling and memorable experience. In conclusion, for me Thong is a great artist, and a huge inspiration. I feel privileged to have met him and studied in his class. Thank you Thong. …. (p.s… he’s also privy as to where to find some fantastic restaurants in the DC area. Ask him nicely and he’ll let you know. :0)
