Jim Tran came to me for private lessons to improve his fighting skills and to get into better shape. He had a background in Vietnamese Kung Fu, MMA, and BJJ under Ryan Hall. At 242 lbs, Jim possesses above average strength, endurance, and coordination, but his biggest asset is his consistent practice.
Jim dilligently practices between classes and it showed. Practicing outside of class allows you to return to ready for corrections and additional guidance.
When a teacher shows you something, he is introducing new concepts to you. The introduction allows for greater understanding to take shape.
Today, Jim stands shredded at 212 lbs, completely transformed from the inside and out. He came seeking to improve fighting skills, and also learned how to improve his quality of life, professional and personal relationships. Martial arts is not only for fighting, but for living a healthy, happy and productive life.
Jim’s transformation has inspired many. Dropping three pant sizes, while becoming a more humble and grateful person in the process is a pretty sweet deal!
